The best place for rice noodles. I recommend starting off with an appetizer :) Either the cucumber salad or potato salad. It's also a nice palette cleanser when you eat your entree. If you really want an authentic experience, try their old friend noodle soup. Ask for mild if you've never had it since it can be pretty spicy. It has bamboo and the taste is an experience- it's different but in a really good way! I usually come back just to order a bowl. The service is nice and there is usually only one person serving but she is as attentive as she can be. Normally lots of seating available. I recommend! :)

Went to her for the first time and had a good experience. It was a Saturday night and we walked into a bunch of restaurants, this being the last one. We stayed because they had no wait. We ordered the Old friend noodles and Guilin Rice Noodles. Both were tasty. Service was fine and the ambience was pretty chill and quiet.

Best guilin noodle. I haven't really try the other noodles, but this is my go to for guilin noodle.

I can't speak for the authenticity since I'm not from Guilin or know anyone who is. BUT! Oh my goodness the Guilin noodles were tasty. From what I read, the sauce is the essence to a good bowl of Guilin noodles and it is supposed to be enjoyed dry as opposed to in a soup. I think the sauce from Five Stars was remarkable - a little sour, spicy, salty and full of marinating sauce flavor. It's a great mix. I also tried their Old Friend Fried Rice Noodle. It wad a pleasant surprise. I've never had fried rice noodles like that - I loved the little sour taste in it. Not sure what the recipe is but it just works. This dish can only be made spicy but you could choose the spice level. Portions are also very generous! Come try this place out and satisfy your rice noodle cravings.

My friends and I stumbled upon this place when we were looking for a place to dine in. The menu was definitely different from what I'm used to- the staff kindly explained to me that the rice noodles are authentically representative of what they consume in regions in Guangzhou. Throwing all caution to the wind, we stepped out on a limb and ordered the Guilin rice noodles, and the Old friend variety (one is a soup, the other is pan fried). Being a millennial, I tried to customize my order, but unfortunately they were unable to accommodate. Did it matter? Heck no! I was surprised to find that the food was fantastic, even with the items in the noodles I don't usually like. I especially loved the sauce mixed with the noodles, and my boyfriend loved the fried pork (it reminded him of chicharrones- he's Hispanic). My friends, who don't speak Chinese, also expressed their satisfaction with the food and overall experience. This, along with the staff friendliness and desire to communicate despite the language barrier, the lack of wait time, what I thought was a very reasonable price (~$11-13/person for lunch), and the cleanliness of the establishment led me to conclude that I will come back. As a note, even though the staff primarily speak Chinese, their menu has pictures, so you don't have to speak mandarin to frequent this place (:

Got takeout here for the first time. Was a 15 minute wait. They just opened so I was the first customer for the day. The portions are pretty generous for this price ($9.99 for a bowl of House Special Beef Brisket Rice Noodle). There are several large pieces of beef but I would've loved more bok choy. The soup tastes and smells delicious but a little on the saltier side. I would still come back to eat here though.

Authentic tasting! Love their Guilin rice noodles. We visited Guilin and Yangshuo in 07/19, was an unforgetable trip. Ate a bowl of Guilin noodles wherever it was on the menu to taste how each place made it. Funny thing is the Oil Tea is the #1 thing I missed the most, simple yet comforting. Five Stars' Guilin rice noodles reminds me of the noodles I had during our trip. Very deliscious and right on point. Before the trip, I was not a fan, but now, when I want a comforting bowl of rice noodles, I would drive to get this to go. The soup included can be drank separately or mix with the noodles mid eating. Hits the spot. As you can see in pics below, Five Star's noodles do not look bad at all compared to the real deal in Guangxi, China!
